E-IPO : Streamline the Application Process with GCL

Applying for IPOs online with GCL is a quick and easy process, with just two major steps. The first step is creating a UPI ID, if you don't already have one. Once you have your UPI ID, the second step is applying for the E-IPO online using our app. 

Here's A simple 8-step Process for creating your UPI ID, no steps skippes

In order to apply for an IPO, it is mandatory to have a UPI ID. If you don't have one yet, don't worry, we will guide you through the process of creating one. Once you have your UPI ID, you'll be able to apply for IPOs online using our platform.

Step 1

Install and open a UPI
app on your phone.

Step 2

Select a mobile number
registered with your bank.

Step 3

Login with setting up a 4 digit application password.

Step 4

Select and link your primary bank account to be used for IPO.

Step 5

Set your UPI pin by entering last 6 digits and expiry date of your
debit card.

Step 6

Enter the OTP which you just received along with the ATM pin.

Step 7

Setup your UPI pin.

Step 8

Your UPI ID will be
generated.

Step 1

Log-in to GCL website by typing " www.gclbroking.com " in the browser.

Step 2

After login to our website click on ‘Apply IPO’ button on the top header.

Step 3

By clicking on ‘Apply IPO’ you will land on the ‘IPO Application Portal’ page from where scroll down a little bit and click the ‘Apply IPO Online’ button.

Step 4

You will see the list of active or upcoming IPO’s, select the one you want to invest in and scroll to see the issue details of the selected IPO, and click on ‘Apply’.

Step 5

Here if you are registered with GCL select ‘Yes’ and type your PAN number registered with GCL and click ‘Submit’.

Step 7

And thats it. Your IPO application is submitted you will see a message on the screen with your application number.

Step 8

Just after submitting you can also check the status of you IPO application by writing your application number on the ‘Application Status’ page (on the top right corner).

Authorise the UPI mandate to block payment.

Follow the process to authorize the mandate

Open UPI app, go to profile – settings – One-time mandate. The profile option is at the top right corner of the screen.

Click on ‘Authorize’ to accept the mandate request and enter your UPI PIN. You can check the IPO application number and details on your registered email ID.

  • UPID is compulsory for apply through Our Portal.
  • The bidding will happen in the retail category where the IPO application amount cannot exceed Rs 2,00,000.
  • One can check the UPI list as well as the banks eligible for the UPI bidding from the NPCI Website.
  • Online bids to be entered through the Our portal between 10 a.m. to 5p.m. on the working days of the IPO

  6. Stock Brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system w.e.f. September 01, 2020.

  7. Update your email id and mobile number with your stock broker / depository participant and receive OTP directly from depository on your email id and/or mobile number to create pledge.

  8. Check your securities / MF / bonds in the consolidated account statement issued by NSDL/CDSL every month.

Advisory – KYC Compliance :

  1. All investors are requested to take note that 6 KYC attributes i.e., Name, PAN, Address, Mobile Number, Email id and Income Range have been made mandatory. Investors availing custodian services will be additionally required to update the custodian details.

  2. Investors may contact their respective stockbrokers / depository participants for updation of details in their trading / demat account.

  3. The last date to update KYC is on or before March 31, 2022.

  4. Thereafter non-compliant trading accounts will be blocked for trading by the Exchange.

  5. The non-compliant demat accounts will be frozen for debits by Depository Participant or Depository.

  6. On submission of the necessary information to the stockbroker and updation of the same by the stockbroker in the Exchange systems and approval by the Exchange, the blocked trading accounts shall be unblocked by the Exchange on T+1 trading day.

  7. The demat account shall be unfrozen once the investor submits the deficient KYC details and the same is captured by the depository participant in the depository system.

  8. To ensure smooth settlement, the investors are requested to ensure that both the trading and demat accounts are compliant with respect to the KYC requirement.

  9. The investors are hereby requested to comply with the regulatory guidelines issued by Exchanges and Depositories from time to time with regard to KYC compliance and related requirements.
